How quickly can I reach central Florence by Tram T1?+
Dalmazia is approximately 20 metres from the entrance. Tram T1 reaches Valfonda / Santa Maria Novella in about 12 minutes under normal conditions; the centre is about 25 minutes away on foot.
How do I reach the apartment from Santa Maria Novella?+
Exit toward Via Alamanni, take T1 toward Careggi, get off at Vittorio Emanuele II and walk 2–3 minutes to Via Filippo Corridoni 116. The tram section takes about 12 minutes under normal conditions.
Why are the arrival and return tram stops different?+
The tram uses two different streets in this area. From the city, get off at Vittorio Emanuele II. To return toward the city, board at Dalmazia, 20 metres from the apartment.
How do I reach the apartment from Florence Airport?+
Take T2 from Peretola Aeroporto toward San Marco, change at Fortezza to T1 toward Careggi, then get off at Vittorio Emanuele II and walk 2–3 minutes. Allow about 45 minutes. One €2,00 ticket covers the journey if completed within 90 minutes.
How do tram tickets work?+
Buy at the platform machine or pay contactless on board. A paper or digital ticket must be validated or activated when you board; with contactless, wait for the green confirmation. One payment card equals one passenger.
Is it better to stay near Careggi Hospital?+
Florence Today Apartment is approximately 10 minutes on foot from Careggi, or about 5 minutes / 2 stops by Tram T1. Whether it suits your needs depends on your personal circumstances.
Can I visit Florence without a car?+
Yes. T1 from Dalmazia, 20 metres from the apartment, reaches Valfonda / Santa Maria Novella in about 12 minutes under normal conditions.
What is Piazza Dalmazia like?+
It is a lived Florentine neighbourhood with a market, supermarkets, pharmacies, cafés, bakeries, restaurants and local shops nearby.
How do I reach Campus Morgagni?+
Campus Morgagni is approximately 700 metres / 9 minutes on foot. Times are approximate and can vary.
Where can I have breakfast near the apartment?+
Nearby choices in Simona’s guide are Dalmazia Forno e Bistrot, Pasticceria Serafini and Pasticceria Crociani. Opening days and hours may change, so check before setting out.

Where can I buy groceries or find a pharmacy?+
Conad and the municipal pharmacy are in Piazza Dalmazia. The neighbourhood market runs every morning from Monday to Saturday. A self-service laundry is on Viale Morgagni.
Can I drive to the apartment without entering the ZTL?+
Yes. The apartment is outside Florence’s ZTL. From the motorway or airport follow Viale Guidoni, Via Mariti and Piazza Dalmazia, then Via Filippo Corridoni 116. Never enter a camera-controlled tram lane.
How much does recommended parking cost for three days?+
Firenze Dalmazia Geparkom is a gated car park about 3 minutes away. Its daily maximum is €14,00 for 7–24 hours, so three full days cost €42,00. Opening hours are Monday–Saturday 07:30–20:30 and Sunday 07:30–20:00.
Can I park on the street?+
Blue lines cost €2,00 per hour from 08:00 to 20:00 and are free overnight. White lines are residents only; yellow lines are reserved. Never park on white or yellow lines.
What should I do if I arrive late?+
Check-in is from 16:00 to 20:00. Contact Simona in advance if your journey changes or you are travelling with heavy luggage.
Who can I contact while travelling?+
Write to Simona on WhatsApp at +39 393 918 9503 when you land or board the tram, and she will guide you to the apartment.
What are the cleaning and extra-guest charges?+
Final cleaning is €35 for a 1–2 night stay and €50 for a longer stay. A linen or towel change for stays over one week costs €20. The third and fourth guest each cost an additional €15 per night.
Can I receive an invoice?+
Simona issues a downloadable receipt with a revenue stamp where required by current law. Tell her in advance if you have specific work or administrative needs.
Is the apartment suitable for a 2–4 week stay?+
Stays are possible up to 28 nights. The apartment has a full kitchen, fast fibre Wi-Fi, a workspace and air conditioning; it does not have a washing machine.
